The Izzy's Nursery story starts a few decades ago, wAhen Ismael Palominos (Izzy) Immigrated from Mexico in 1978 and settled in Western Washington County. Soon after, he began working for Glenn Walters Nursery. There he contributed over 35 years, becoming the senior manager of propagation and production department for the Glenn Walters organization along with its hundreds of acres.
So we are confident our nursery stock is grown from top quality cuttings with true propagation methods along with being grown in the fertile soil of the beautiful Willamette valley, we Guarantee our plants will thrive in their specified zones!
In 2003 he started a few acre greenhouse operation in Forest Grove. A couple years later, the business expanded with The addition of Gales Creek Farm. Adding over 80 acres of B&B growing capacity.
In 2018, Izzys Nursery was able to acquire Thatcher Farm, that once belonged to Glenn Walters Nursery organization to add another 60 acres of container growing capacity which can be shipped year round.
Recently Ismael Palominos JR has stepped in to contribute and helped his father acquire another 65 acres of B&B growing space and also manages day-to-day operations, along with transitioning the company and adapting to a new age of nursery sales.
